Sober Students in College Facebook Group

Want to connect with other sober college students? Tired of feeling like you’re the only one in college who doesn’t drink? Check out our new facebook group “Sober College Students.”

People are always asking me…

Where can I find other sober people who don’t want to drink?

Are there any places to hang out where people aren’t obsessed with drinking?

How do you meet other sober people?

Before now, I’ve assured them that other sober people do exist… they’re just hard to find. Because who’s out there sharing information that’s going to hurt their social life and cause others to judge them?

There’s a “stigma” about being sober that says, “You must be not be fun if you don’t drink. You think you’re better than me because you don’t “need” alcohol anymore?”  After all, why would anyone choose to be sober?!

But I know, I’m preaching to the choir. We know that living a sober lifestyle can be amazing but it comes with unique challenges.

Our new facebook group, Sober College Students is a way for students who don’t drink (or use drugs) to connect with each other. Think of it as a national club, or online community, for sober people who study at a university or college!

It doesn’t matter if you have never tried anything or if you’re in long term recovery. You’re going to need a support group that understands what you’re going through on campus and can help you along the way. We’ll be posting tips for doing college sober but want to encourage all of you to contribute with questions, stories and tips that you learn throughout your journey.

There are more than 2 million college students who are sober, looking for others like you. Our new facebook group is just a tool to help connect you with each other.

So please join us and don’t forget to introduce yourself!
